Modern licence plate recognition makes parking easier than ever. As you enter one of our car parks, a camera system automatically captures your licence plate — and the barrier opens, with no need to take a ticket. When you leave, the system recognises your vehicle again, checks your paid parking session, and opens the barrier automatically. No more searching for tickets, lost parking stubs, or long waits at the barrier.
How licence plate recognition works
As you enter one of our car parks, a camera at the barrier automatically captures your licence plate — you simply drive through, no ticket required.
To pay, simply enter your licence plate at the pay station. The applicable parking fee and the available payment options are shown straight away. You can pay contactlessly with your smartphone, with all major credit or debit cards, or in cash — whichever you prefer.
At the exit, your licence plate is recognised again, the payment is verified automatically, and the barrier opens. Once you’ve left, all licence-plate data is deleted from the system — your privacy is our top priority.

Your privacy comes first
We take data protection seriously. Your licence plate is captured solely to process your parking session and is automatically deleted from the system after successful payment and exit. Park with us regularly? Skip the pay station altogether. With our Pay-by-Invoice Parking service, your licence plate is recognised automatically at entry and exit, and your parking sessions are billed in a single monthly invoice sent by email.

How does ‘Pay-by-invoice parking’ work?
With the “Pay-by-invoice parking” service, you can park without having to pay at the payment machine each time you park. The license plate number you have on file in the customer portal will be automatically recognized. At the end of the month, you will receive an invoice for all parking transactions, which you can view in your account. Please note that you must register your number plate before your first entry.
In which car parks can I use the ‘pay-on-account’ service?
In all PBG parking garages with license plate recognition. You can find an up-to-date list in our customer portal.
What if I change my number plate or sell my car?
Simply update your number plate in the customer portal. This ensures that only active vehicles are billed. Please note that you must register your number plate before your first entry.
What is a parking voucher?
A parking voucher is a prepaid voucher that you can use to pay for parking at participating PBG car parks.
Where can I buy parking vouchers?
Parking vouchers can be ordered using the online form on the website.
How do I redeem a parking voucher?
Before exiting, enter your license plate number on the touchscreen at the automated toll booth. The parking fee is displayed. Hold the parking voucher in front of the QR/barcode scanner (located in the center of the payment machine), and the value of the voucher will be deducted from the parking fee.
Which car parks are the parking vouchers valid for?
The parking vouchers are valid at the PBG car parks in Frankfurt listed on the voucher.
When does a parking voucher expire?
Parking vouchers are valid for three years from the date of issue.
Can I get a replacement for a lost parking voucher?
No, for security reasons, lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
